About XZZY Trip

Xizang Yingzhao Travel Service Co., Ltd. (西藏迎昭旅行社) — A licensed Tibet travel agency with deep roots in the Tibetan Plateau. Founded in Lhasa. Built for the world.

Our name — Yingzhao (迎昭) — is a public promise:

迎 (Yíng)To welcome guests from all directions. Tibet's highest etiquette is the offering of a khata (ceremonial scarf). Our guides arrive 40 minutes early to the airport. They kneel down to tie the khata around elderly guests and children — not as a photo op, but as a genuine act of welcome.

昭 (Zhāo)To illuminate with a sincere heart. Transparency, openness, nothing hidden. We write our zero-shopping guarantee into the national tourism contract with 10× compensation. We tell our guests: "Record our entire journey. If I skip a single detail, I lose."

Where It All Began

Summer, 2010. Tibet's tourism industry was in chaos. Travel agencies survived on shopping commissions. Guides herded tourists into jade shops, Tibetan medicine halls, and silver boutiques — holding them captive for hours. At Everest Base Camp? Twenty minutes for photos, then back on the bus.

An elderly couple from Shanghai had saved for years to see the Potala Palace and Mount Everest. Over seven days, they were dragged into six shopping stops. Twenty minutes at Everest. The wife spent the journey in tears.

A senior manager at a state-owned travel enterprise witnessed this. He did two things that day: paid for the couple's return flight out of his own pocket, and walked away from the state sector to build a travel agency with one unbreakable rule.

No shopping. Ever.

Colleagues called him crazy. "Without shopping commissions, how will you pay your guides? Your drivers? How will you survive?"

His answer: "Word of mouth. Repeat guests. Referrals from travelers who actually enjoyed their trip."

The first contract read: "Pure play, zero shopping. If any shopping occurs — 10× refund, public apology, guide dismissed."

Sixteen years later? From fewer than 100 guests in the first year to over 300,000 travelers and 150,000+ families. A 99.99% satisfaction rate. Ranked #1 on Tibet's travel agency reputation charts for two consecutive years. And not one single shopping complaint — ever.

The People Behind Every Journey

🧭

Their income comes entirely from the company — not a single yuan from commissions. The first sentence in our guide training manual: "Your job is to make guests fall in love with Tibet, not to empty their wallets."

Training: 30-day onboarding boot camp (60 hours). Six-month one-on-one mentorship. Four-dimension final exam — theory (90% pass mark), guided tour delivery, altitude emergency drill, and live scenario simulation. Annual 40-hour retraining. Monthly 20-hour micro-training. The most rigorous guide development system in Tibet's travel industry.
